The academy specialises in training CPL/ IR(ME) students to a level which is suitable to immediately proceed to First Officer training in a medium jet such as A320, B737 or E190. The JOC/MCC and jet type training is accomplished in cooperation with the British Airways Comair Training Centre (CTC).
The course is based on the Flight Training Specification of the EASA CPL/ IR(ME) Integrated Course and the ICAO Training Manual for the Integrated Commercial Pilot Licence course.
SAA was the first corporate client in 1999 when all graduates were successful in achieving First Officer appointment in Boeing 737. Kenya Airways is our largest client with 84 graduates.
Two type specific flight simulators exactly replicate the EFIS equipped Vulcanair P68R type used for multi-engine aeroplane Flight Training.
The unique location of the academy is very close to an International Airport which facilitates very efficient Instrument Flight Training in visual and instrument met conditions.
